An award-winning technologist, Iraq War Veteran, and nationally syndicated columnist, Jeff Shuford is a dynamic thought leader specializing in innovative digital marketing. Prior to launching National Invest In Veterans Week, Shuford led brand strategy at Tech From Vets, a veteran-owned technology development company. Under his direction, Tech From Vets won the 2017 BizTech Award presented by Comcast Business. Shuford became a nationally syndicated columnist at age 30, making him one of the youngest nationally syndicated columnists in the country and one of the youngest African-American nationally syndicated columnists of all time. In his role with the American City Business Journals, Shuford's monthly column appears in more than 43 regional business newspapers. In his previous position with GateHouse Media, Shuford's weekly column appeared in 144 daily newspapers, 684 community publications, and over 569 local-market websites in 38 states, making him one of the country's most syndicated African-American columnists of all time.

Celebrated March 1st through March 7th annually, National Invest In Veterans Week is an organization dedicated to advocating for veteran entrepreneurs nationwide. Co-founded by nationally syndicated columnist Jeff Shuford, National Football League star Drayton Florence, and retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Rickey L. Pope, the organization’s mission is to honor aspiring and established veteran business owners and their contributions to the economy. National Invest In Veterans Week was named Best Social Impact Initiative of 2021 by The Ritz Herald, 2021 Veterans in Business Award Winner by the Hudson Weekly, and won the Innovative Media Excellence Award from the Belmont Star. The founders of National Invest in Veterans Week won a BizTech Award presented by Comcast Business in 2017 for their innovative digital development and media strategies.
