Bridging the gap between the gourmet world and cannabis, I’ve been on a mission to normalize cannabis cuisine and infused beverages. Launching my culinary-meets-cannabis blog and events business in 2017, I’ve played a critical role in helping lead the culinary cannabis movement from coast to coast. With a decade-long career in the wine industry and as a Certified Specialist of Wine, I was early to see the connection between terpenes and tannins. My events and educational platform focuses on herbal products and wine, a complimentary match that I believe helps consumers better understand the complexities of cannabis. As a culinary cannabis pioneer, entrepreneur, and tastemaker, my work with The Herb Somm has transferred into two lifestyle books including The Ultimate Guide to CBD: Explore the World of Cannabidiol and Cannabis Drinks: Secrets to Crafting CBD and THC Beverages at Home, both published by Fair Winds Press of Quarto Publishing Group. In addition to my blog, events, and writing, I am a leading member of Crop-to-Kitchen, a culinary cannabis advocacy group working towards legalizing cannabis cuisine across the nation. Most recently, I am also the CEO and Co-Founder of Herbacée, the nation’s first nonalcoholic cannabis-infused sparkling wine that honors French-inspired wine blends launching this fall 2021.

Jamie Evans is the founder and creator of The Herb Somm, a culinary-meets-cannabis blog that's focused on the gourmet side of the industry. She is an author, entrepreneur, and writer specializing in CBD, cannabis, food, recipes, wine, and the canna-culinary world. As a well-known CBD and cannabis personality, Jamie (aka The Herb Somm) is best known for her literary work and signature Thursday Infused events. Her second book, Cannabis Drinks: Secrets to Crafting CBD and THC Beverages at Home, released in April 2021 and has quickly earned her acclaim as well as a billboard in New York City’s Times Square during the book launch. Alongside her work in the CBD and cannabis space, Jamie is a Certified Specialist of Wine and French Wine Scholar with over a decade of wine industry experience. Since launching The Herb Somm, she’s been featured and quoted in dozens of different articles and TV segments including Food & Wine, Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Cheddar TV, Wine Enthusiast, Robb Report, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times, among many others. The Herb Somm was created in March 2017 with the goal of educating consumers and the public about culinary cannabis, and healthy ways to incorporate herbal products into everyday life. While there is an emphasis on pairings and recipes, wellness and CBD education are also a focus.
