Sharad also created, “Chakra The Invincible,’ with his mentor, legendary icon, Stan Lee (co-creator of Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men, Hulk, The Avengers), which premiered on Cartoon Network India and worldwide through the ‘Angry Birds’ ToonsTV platform. Previously he was Co-Founder & CEO of Virgin Comics (later renamed Liquid Comics), which he co-founded with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group where he launched comics and media projects with acclaimed talents including, Guy Ritchie, John Woo, Deepak Chopra, Nicolas Cage, Barry Sonnenfeld, Wes Craven and others. In 2004, Sharad worked with Marvel to create a new version of Spider-Man as an Indian boy growing up in Mumbai, transforming Peter Parker into Pavitr Prabhakar. “Spider-Man: India” was heralded as one of the industry’s first “trans-creations.” Sharad has also served for over a decade as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School, teaching the popular classes, “Media Marketing and Entrepreneurship” and “Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.” He holds a BFA from Syracuse University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
